The Guild
Who we are
We are 17 members strong 13 ladies and 4 gents. Our aim is primarily fellowship and to support the church and other worthy causes.
We have many members that are creative in various crafts that make and donate blankets hats scarves jumpers and other needy items to local and other appeals.
Our meetings incorporate our worship and normally a speaker with topics ranging from charity organisations to subjects of interest to the community at large. All being open to non-guild members and of course cake, coffee/tea and a good catch up with everyone.
Anyone is welcome to visit or join us when ever we can get back to meet.
When we meet
The guild meet fortnightly on Monday afternoons 2-4pm in the small hall commencing on the first Monday in September going through till March/April time breaking for the Summer.
Fundraisers
We have 2 main fundraisers being our Christmas Fayre and Spring Fayre. We also have a fun night (Beetle Drive or Quiz Night) with monies supporting Jenny Featherstone our missionary in Zambia.
Charities
The Guild over a 3 year period supports 6 charities and we in our turn support 2 a year giving £300 (£150 per cause) covering all 6 in the 3 years.
We annually donate to the Bible Society sending Bibles to countries in their own languages all over the world helping to spread the word far and wide.
